ABOUT US

What We Do
At International Basic Aid (IBA), we are committed to uplifting vulnerable communities around the world by addressing both urgent needs and long-term development goals. Our programs are designed to provide immediate humanitarian aid and foster sustainable change, ensuring individuals and families can live with dignity, hope, and opportunity.
Food Aid
IBA tackles hunger in some of the world’s most food-insecure regions, including Somalia and South Sudan. Through the distribution of staple food packages and digital cash cards, we support communities facing acute malnutrition. Our programs are especially focused on aiding pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and children, ensuring they receive the nutrition necessary to survive and thrive.
Health Care
Our health initiatives aim to:
- Reduce maternal and child mortality by improving access to maternal healthcare, nutrition, and family planning.
- Prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS through education and sustainable treatment programs.
- Combat infectious diseases in underserved areas with life-saving treatment and prevention efforts.
- We believe health is a human right, and we strive to eliminate disparities in access to quality care.
Child Welfare
IBA works tirelessly to protect and empower children by:
- Preventing exploitation, trafficking, and forced labor.
- Improving access to education, healthcare, and psychosocial support.
- Supporting children in crisis through long-term care, not just temporary assistance.
- We envision a world where every child has the tools to realize their full potential.
Capacity Building
In developing regions, IBA equips communities with tools for growth and self-reliance by:
- Providing training and education for health and education professionals.
- Enhancing access to research and resources.
- Building leadership and technical skills in local organizations to ensure sustainable service delivery.
Support for the Visually Impaired
Through local partnerships such as Ezinet (Mercy) in Ethiopia, IBA supports visually impaired students by:
- Offering educational materials tailored to their needs.
- Supplying daily living aids and accessibility tools.
- Creating a support network to foster inclusion and independence.

Holiday Gift Program
IBA brings compassion and joy during festive seasons by distributing care packages and essentials to those who are often overlooked, including:
- Homeless individuals and families.
- Survivors of violence.
- Refugees and displaced persons.
- People with mental or physical disabilities.
This program reflects our commitment to restoring dignity and connection, even in the smallest of gestures.
